Change or reset your password

How to change your password while signed in, and how to reset it with an emailed link if you're locked out.

There are two ways to set a new password, depending on whether you can currently sign in.

Change it while you’re signed in

  1. In the operator app, click your name and photo at the bottom of the left-hand menu.
  2. Choose Account.
  3. Select Change password, enter your current password and your new password, and save.

Your new password must be at least 8 characters.

Reset it if you’re locked out

If you’ve forgotten your password and can’t sign in:

  1. On the sign-in page at app.rentalpilot.io, choose Forgot password?
  2. Enter your account email and submit. If an account exists for that address, we’ll email you a reset link.
  3. Open the link and set a new password — you’ll be signed straight in.

A couple of things to know about reset links:

  • They’re single-use and expire about an hour after they’re sent, for security.
  • If your link has expired or you didn’t get one, just request a new one from Forgot password? again. (Check your spam folder if the email doesn’t arrive.)
