Embed a live quote on your website
Add a small 'Rentals from $X/day' widget to your own website that shows live pricing, lets visitors get an instant estimate, and links straight to your booking page.
The live-quote widget is a small box you can drop onto your own website — your homepage, a “Rates” page, a sidebar or a footer. It shows a “Rentals from $X/day” price, lets a visitor pick trip dates for an instant estimate, and sends them straight to your booking page with a Book now button. It’s priced live from your current rates and seasons, so it’s always accurate and there’s nothing to keep in sync.
Before you start
The embed code only appears when your booking site is Live. If it’s set to Private, switch it to Live first (same tab — see Customize your booking site).
Get your embed code
- Open Settings → Booking site.
- Find the Embed a live quote on your website box.
- Choose Copy embed code. (You can also use the live preview beside it to see exactly what visitors will get.)
The code is a single <iframe> snippet — there’s nothing to install and no keys to manage.
Add it to your website
Paste the snippet into your site wherever you want the widget to appear:
- Website builders (Squarespace, Wix, Webflow, Shopify and similar) — add an Embed, Custom HTML or Code block and paste the snippet in.
- WordPress — use a Custom HTML block (or an HTML widget in a sidebar/footer area).
- A hand-coded site — paste the snippet into your page’s HTML where you’d like it to show.
That’s it — no account, login or API key is needed on your website’s end.
What your visitors see
- Your business name and a “Rentals from $X/day” headline, drawn from your lowest current daily rate.
- A date picker — once they choose pick-up and return dates, an estimated total appears (for example, “Estimated $312 for 3 days · $104/day”).
- A Book now button that opens your booking site so they can complete the reservation.
The widget automatically matches your brand colour and your booking-site light/dark theme, so it looks at home on your site.
Sizing and placement
The widget is about 340px wide and 430px tall. The snippet is responsive — it fills the available width up to 340px, so it fits neatly in a narrow column, a sidebar or a footer, and shrinks gracefully on phones.
You can change the width in the snippet, but keep the height around 430 — the date calendar and the Book button need that room, and a much shorter frame can clip them.
It stays in sync automatically
You only paste the code once. Whenever you change your rates, seasons or availability in Rental Pilot, the widget updates on its own — there’s no need to copy a new snippet. If you ever have no vehicles available, it shows a friendly “no vehicles available” message instead of a price.
Troubleshooting
- The embed box isn’t showing in Settings — your booking site is Private. Switch it to Live.
- Nothing appears on my website — some builders strip
<iframe>tags out of plain text fields. Make sure you pasted it into a dedicated Embed / Custom HTML / Code block, not a normal text area. - The price looks wrong — it reflects your current lowest daily rate, adjusted for any active season. Check your rates and seasons in Settings → Pricing.
